On August 14, 2024, HMEL marked a significant milestone with the groundbreaking ceremony of its Toluene Xylene Extraction Project by Mr. Prabh Das, MD & CEO, HMEL along with Senior Leadership Team. With the new project, HMEL aims to diversify its product portfolio and pave the way for its entry into the pharmaceuticals market. The new unit, with a capacity of 330 KTPA, will produce pharma-grade and nitration-grade toluene, as well as solvent-grade mixed xylene.
