Incorporated in 2008, HPCL-Mittal Pipelines Limited (HMPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of HMEL, specialises in storage and transportation of crude oil. It operates crude oil terminals and offshore and onshore pipelines, primarily related to the Mundra-Bathinda Pipeline that transports crude oil from Mundra, Gujarat, to HMEL’s Guru Gobind Singh Refinery at Bathinda, Punjab.
HMPL deploys advanced technology to streamline its operations. Round-the-clock monitoring of the pipeline parameters is facilitated by a SCADA system installed in the pipeline, supported by world-class control rooms equipped with all modern technologies. HMPL’s operations prioritise sustainability and environmental protection, having a disaster control and management plan in place to mitigate risk due to disasters.
