On June 5, 2025, Mr. S Bharathan, Director-HMEL & Director-Refineries, HPCL, visited the Crude Oil Terminal at Mundra, engaging with the Pipeline team to review initiatives enhancing reliability and efficiency. The visit began with a safety briefing and tree plantation ceremony, followed by a demonstration of the Single Point Mooring (SPM) prototype. Mr. Bharathan commissioned 14MW Emergency Diesel Generator (DG) sets, ensuring uninterrupted pipeline operations during grid failures, especially in adverse weather. He appreciated the team’s innovative approach and commitment to operational excellence. The visit also included an inspection of Crude Oil Tank Maintenance & Inspection (M&I) works, where the team showcased their safety protocols and a fast-tracked plan to complete the job in 100 days. Concluding the visit, the Pipeline team presented an overview of operations and discussed potential synergy projects among HMPL, HRRL, and HPCL, aimed at strengthening strategic planning and sustaining pipeline reliability.
