On World Environment Day 2025, HMEL reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability through a large-scale tree plantation and awareness campaign. The initiative was launched at GGSR, Bathinda by Mr. M.B. Gohil, Chief Operating Officer, along with Mr. Anshu Sharma, VP-Petchem Operations & Maintenance, Mr. Arun Bhardwaj, VP-Operational Excellence, Mr. Davinder Mittal, VP-Operations & Maintenance (Refinery), Mr. Atul Saxena, VP-Process Excellence & TS and Mr. Hector Salazar, VP-Safety. Over 1100 saplings were planted at the refinery, township and Pipeline locations, while the CSR Team extended the initiative to nearby villages, involving local communities. In collaboration with the Punjab Pollution Control Board (PPCB), HMEL also launched a campaign to promote eco-friendly alternatives, distributing 10,000 reusable eco-bags to employees and the public. A thought-provoking social media campaign ‘Kal Ke Liye Aaj’ was also launched reflecting our strong commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement.
