Mr. Gaurav K Gupta is responsible for spearheading the development and growth of HMEL’s chemical business vertical, focusing on specialty and value-added chemicals through downstream integration strategies, high-value product portfolio development and strategic technology partnerships to drive sustainable growth.
With over 25 years in the petroleum refining and petrochemical industry, he excels in developing supply chain strategies that boost margins through innovation and optimization. In 2011, he was responsible for setting-up the Hydrocarbon Economics & Scheduling Section in HMEL, which was recognized as a ‘Pace Setter’ by KBC in 2015 and has led several impactful initiatives driving operational excellence and strategic growth. Prior to joining HMEL, he spent 11 years at Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), where he was the team lead of the Economics & Scheduling Group at the Jamnagar Refinery complex.
Mr. Gupta, an ace Chemical Engineering graduate, has completed advanced leadership programmes at London Business School, IIM Ahmedabad, and ISB. Under the mentorship of leading industry stalwarts, he has developed visionary leadership and sharp strategic expertise in the oil and gas sector.
