HMEL Marks World Environment Day with Tree Plantation across Business Locations

HMEL celebrated World Environment Day 2026 across its refinery, township, business locations, and nearby villages, reinforcing its commitment to environmental sustainability. Led by Mr. M. B. Gohil, COO, HMEL along with senior leadership team, a largescale plantation drive saw around 1000 saplings planted across the Refinery & Petrochemical Complex, Ethanol Plant, Township, and other business locations. To promote environmental awareness, HMEL organised slogan writing and environmental quiz competitions, engaging employees and contract workers on topics such as climate change and sustainable development. In collaboration with the Punjab Pollution Control Board, reusable cloth bags were also distributed. HMEL’s CSR team also conducted plantation drives in nearby villages, spreading awareness about environmental conservation and strengthening green cover in surrounding communities.
