Mr. Sandeep Jalan has over 30 years of experience in financial and operational leadership roles across Asia and Europe. Until the end of 2025, he was a non-executive Board member of Aperam, a global leader in stainless, electrical, and specialty steel, where he previously also served as Chief Financial Officer (‘CFO’) from 2014 until 2020.
Mr. Jalan also served from 2020 until 2025 as the CFO of SES, a global leader in Satellite Services for video and data connectivity.
Earlier in his career, he worked with the ArcelorMittal Group from 1999 onward, holding several senior finance roles, including CFO of ArcelorMittal Long Carbon Europe. During this period, he was also part of the M&A team responsible for multiple acquisitions across the steel and mining sectors. He began his senior leadership career as CFO and Company Secretary of Ispat Alloys Ltd, a position he held from 1993 to 1999.
Mr. Jalan is a Commerce graduate from Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and is a Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary from the respective professional institutes in India. He has also completed executive education programs in Leadership at London Business School and Strategic Finance at IMD, Lausanne.
